Accommodation Reservations

There are four types of accommodation offered at Larval Biology 2012. In all cases below, you are only paying for your bed. If you do not specify a roommate or suitemate, one will be assigned for you. Dorm rooms are on single-gender floors, while suites can be co-ed. This means that two people of opposite genders cannot share a dorm room, though they can share a suite.

Accommodation reservations will be for five nights. Check in is on Sunday, July 29 and checkout is on Friday, August 3.

A double dorm room.
  • Single Dorm: A private single room on a single-gender floor with a bathroom and lounge room down the hall. US$90 per night.

  • Double Dorm: A private room on a single-gender floor with two beds and a bathroom and lounge room down the hall. Please note that double dorm rooms cannot be shared by two people of opposite genders. US$70 per night.

  • Single Suite: Single suites are almost sold out. If you would like to reserve a single suite, please email Seth at shmiller@ucdavis.edu to check availability. A private single room that shares a bathroom and lounge area with one other private bedroom. US$100 per night.

  • Double Suite: A private room with two beds that shares a bathroom and lounge area with one other private bedroom. US$75 per night.

These rates include a full hot American breakfast every morning, daily housekeeping, all linens, and a boxed lunch to take with you on Friday morning.  Free wired internet access is included with all rooms. Login information will be provided closer to the conference. All accommodations have easy access to laundry facilities and are just minutes from the presentation rooms.

The Clark-Kerr campus has offered us these low rates for accommodation in return for guaranteeing that a certain number of rooms will be booked.  Therefore, we strongly urge you to stay at the conference venue and book your accommodation as soon as possible.  There are a limited number of rooms and nearby hotels are very expensive.  We can request more rooms after we fulfill our requirements, but extra rooms are subject to availability at the time of request—so the sooner we know how many extra rooms we need, the better!

Refund information: We will offer registrants a full refund of their accommodation fees if they cancel on or before May 4, 2012. Registrants will receive a 75% refund on or before June 1, 2012, and a 50% refund on or before July 6, 2012. No refunds will be awarded after July 6, 2012.

If you would like to stay extra nights before or after the conference, do not intend to stay all nights of the conference, or if you require handicapped-accessible accommodations, please contact Seth Miller (shmiller@ucdavis.edu) to check availability and arrange your stay.
