Meet Seth and Clay
We met almost ten years ago in college and, after first becoming best friends, we started our lives together in 2002. Clay proposed in Central Park, New York City, in 2007, and we got married in front of our families and friends a year later. We can’t wait to welcome a child and birthmother into our family, which also includes our chihuahuas, Baz and Lulu, who love belly rubs, treats, and snuggling. We look forward to expanding our family and having an open, honest, ongoing relationship with a birthfamily for years to come.

Clay works in San Francisco as the marketing director of a theatre company. Seth is earning his PhD in marine biology and plans to teach at a university. Clay works four days a week, and Seth’s schedule is endlessly flexible.

We love to travel, and have been lucky to see many corners of the world. We can’t wait to share our passions with our child.
Clay’s creativity shines through in his writing, painting, and quilting. He’s also a long-time photographer, and has filled our home with pictures. He can’t wait to inspire our own child’s creativity. |

Seth loves hiking and camping, and takes an annual backpacking trip with his dad. He looks forward to three-generation backpacking trips, when he’ll carry his child’s pack like his dad did on that first trip twenty years ago.

We love to cook, usually with organic ingredients from our farmers’ market. Our backyard has a large vegetable garden, and we’re excited to give over part of it to whatever our child’s heart desires. We look forward to seeing the wonder and pride on his or her face when we eat food that he or she has grown.
